The most honest document in the car trade

Every reconditioned car imported from Japan was sold at auction with an inspection sheet. Learn to read it and no one can mislead you.

Overall grade

  • 5 / 4.5 — excellent, minimal wear

  • 4 — good, light use

  • 3.5 — visible wear, usable

  • R / RA — repaired accident history; price should reflect it

Exterior & interior letters

A–D scales for cosmetic condition. The damage map uses codes like A1 (small scratch) or U2 (medium dent). We publish the sheet for every reconditioned car we list — and we will verify a sheet for any car you are considering elsewhere.
